History Of The Cayenne

In 2003, Porsche got on the SUV bandwagon and introduced the Cayenne luxury SUV crossover. It featured a powerful V8 engine with optional active suspension and real sports-like performance. The 2004 Cayenne now offered a V6 engine option for buyers. Porsche added the hill-holder clutch, a powered lift gate, updated and body-colored fascias and optional panoramic sunroof for 2005. The wheels were also widened, the climate control system was updated and the front airbags were upgraded. They Cayenne saw no changes in 2006 and skipped a model year in 2007. It returned in 2008 with more powerful engine options, a new GTS trim level, new tail lights, a slightly revised front-end and a shuffling of addable options.
